S3 Episode 3: "Pensive Promises" | Vows on Valentine's Day

After returning from her Erotic Tour, Meg is pensive on promises that she would make if her Dream Lover existed. This topic was requested after Meg posts her 2022 Dream Lover List. 

Thus, this week, Meg spends her Valentine's Day with her future lover in mind as she spends the day focused on vows. This list of promises was first composed last year after Meg had abstained from sex for one year. After spending a second year in reflection over love, she has returned with her revised list of promises, ready to be open to romance again. However, who is deserving of such promises, we will have to await and find out as Meg continues on her Erotic Renaissance.

Welcome to The Erotic Renaissance, I am Meg De la Torre, your Linguist of Love. In our previous episode,  I read you my 2023 Dream Lover List as I manifested some Love for future me as I begin my 32nd journey around the Sun. I just returned Home to San Diego from my recent Erotic Tour, where the theme was “32 and Emerging from my Cocoon” I danced through Las Vegas before meeting another Guardian of the Erotic Renaissance in New York City, so I have much to update you on, but I’ll have to save that for next time, but if you’d like a sneak peak, you can see my February highlight on Instagram where you can find me @LINGUISTOFLOVE .

I ended my Erotic Tour with a restful stop in Maine, just in time to see a blizzard, before I danced through the skies again on my way back to Las Vegas where I performed on my birthday for some friends and shimmied through The iconic Luxor casino. For this episode, I will be sharing something that was requested by Instagram followers after I published my 2022 Lover List. They requested that I write the Promises I would make for the Lover that I have been manifesting. 

And I must say that this request was much needed. As 2021 led me to take a break from the typical “search” for love, I broke up with  dating apps. In the past, I was jostled from one relationship to the next, and I was not doing so in an intentional and mindful way. Thus, I had not taken time to get to know myself and make sure that I was the soul I wanted to be before Whomever it was that I had been dreaming up entered my life. Thus, My Lover List Birthday Ritual has now become extended as we explore one of my favorite holidays – Valentine’s Day). 

And to celebrate this Valentine’s Day, I am gifting my revised list of promises to my Future Soul’s Mate – a Love I have dreamt to exist. As we begin today’s reading, please set the mood for yourself. I have the scent Eros by Stella Lux Creations warming in my wax melter, with notes of

I am recording this episode as the sun is rising on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2023 at 6:33 a, and you, my Lovely Listener, are my Valentine as I crafted, recorded, and edited this episode all-day with you in mind as the first ones to hear this list of promises that I have been composing and revising over the past year, as I – the most lustful of linguists – abstained from sex for a second year in the absence of my future lover. May he find me safely and securely in my Sensual Sanctuary some day soon, as my state of arousal only seems to increase exponentially as I travel without Him, tempting me to tip toe into turrid entanglements. 

As I am sitting here in my bed, recording this episode to be heard in at least 70 countries and counting,  I am wearing a set of lingerie that I wore to Rosewood Theatre where I danced on the lap of a distinguished gentleman in a private room where roses hung lowly lit. “Pensive Promises” | Vows on Valentine’s Day

Dearest Sir,

I look forward to uniting with you. I’ve thought a lot of you throughout the course of my life, and it is now that I cannot wait any longer than to be pensive about promises. I want to make promises to the man who will be deserving of the kind of love I want to gift to you. With that, let me make some promises that I want and even long to keep to you. May this list continue to swell as my heart grows fonder. I do wish to preface this list by saying that every promise and word used here is intentional. I write these promises not because I feel I have to; I have already learned that a love in which you are forced to make promises is not a love nor a life worth experiencing. Thus, each promise is crafted from the deep well of my heart that longs to love a man who is Decadent in His Love. Loving Him as deeply and as passionately as I have always dreamt of.

With that, my Prince, here are the promises I desire to make to you:

1. I promise to always look forward to greeting you upon your return home. Life is more fun with you, so I’ll be sure to enjoy the first moments when I see your heart return from whatever battles you faced during the day and whatever dragons you tamed. 
2. I promise to be a safe space – the kind of woman who will hold your heart like the most precious of treasures. I can imagine that you have had a hard time sharing your emotions, and it is important to me that you to feel safe.
3. I promise to try any kinky idea that has been churning in your mind. I love to please the rightful mate to my heart and soul, and the very notion of making you hard is what seduces me to play whatever mind game is pulling at the hem of your thoughts.
4. I promise to be loyal. If I have chosen you for a partner, it is because I want to be there. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, so if I am hungry, may I be hungry for your touch. If I am thirsty, may I only be quenched by your taste.
5. I promise I will let you lead where you are better suited for the job than me. I’ve only ever tried to be independent, but with you, I’ll feel the freedom to choose to listen and when to be guided by you – and this gift – is because I trust you.
6. I promise to share my emotions with you in a way that is transparent and not filled with little deceptions, nor rage. If I disagree with you,  I will be calm when I approach you and vulnerable, because I know you are afraid of breaking me and my spirit, and I respect that, Sir.
7. I promise to seduce you daily and tease you to attention. But –
8. I promise I’ll always let you catch me in the end.
9. I promise to be devoted in my love. Even in dreams, may I desire you.
10. I promise to  respect and honor you – even through the times in which our minds are in misunderstandings or our hearts are confused or misaligned. May we always communicate and find alignment again.
11. I promise when I perform, you are the audience of which I seek the ovation. Your eyes are the only ones I am looking to find in the crowd.
12. If you ever want to leave, I promise I will let you go. Because true love always gives you freedom, even if it is painful.
13. Overall, I promise to make our life a story we will want to retell, filled with fantasies, star-crossed love, and the happiest of  endings.
